A fuel card is a payment card used primarily for fueling vehicles. It offers businesses a way to manage fuel expenses, track fuel usage, and access discounts at specific fuel stations.

The Uber Freight Carrier Card is a fuel card program and payments solution that helps businesses streamline fuel purchases, prevent fraud, and control and manage their fleet expenses.

Use the Uber Freight Carrier Card to purchase fuel anywhere that accepts Visa, across stations nationwide. The card also covers fleet-related expenses like maintenance, tires, car washes, tolls, and more.

You must spend $3,500, per truck* in a calendar month to earn same-day payouts for eligible Uber Freight loads the following month. The following loads are not eligible for same-day payments: loads booked on Uber Freight Exchange where Uber Freight is not the load provider, and loads provided by Celtic International, LLC.

How do I earn same-day payouts?

Cardholders earn same-day payouts for a given calendar month if their account spend was $3,500 or more per truck* in the previous calendar month. For the month in which same-day payouts are earned, all POD approved eligible Uber Freight loads that were booked on, or after, the fourth business day of the month will receive same-day payouts.

For example, if a carrier spent $3,500 per truck in June, all POD approved eligible Uber Freight loads booked on or after the fourth business day of July will receive same-day payouts.

Spending is reviewed to determine eligibility on the fourth business day of every month.

Who is eligible for same-day payouts?

Carriers must have an ACH payment method with Uber Freight and an active account in order to be eligible for same-day payouts.

Carriers that use a factoring company on their Uber Freight loads are not eligible for the same-day pay program. If the carrier wishes to be enrolled in the same-day pay program but has a factoring company, a Letter of Release (“LOR”) is required from the factoring company. Carriers can send their LOR to: freightnoa@uber.com. The LOR must be processed and all other eligibility criteria must be met in order to begin receiving same-day payouts.

The following loads are not eligible for same-day payments: loads booked on Uber Freight Exchange where Uber Freight is not the load provider, and loads provided by Celtic International, LLC.

How do I lose same-day payouts?

If you fail to meet $3,500 in per truck spend* using your Uber Freight Carrier Card(s) in a calendar month.

How do same-day payouts work?

Each business day at 2 pm CST Uber Freight disburses carriers’ earnings to their ACH account on file with Uber Freight. Any eligible Uber Freight load that is approved for payment before this time, and which was booked while the carrier was eligible for same-day payouts, will be disbursed to the carrier’s account on file that same day. The time at which funds show in the account is dependent on the bank.

When will my payment speed switch to same-day payouts, or revert back to my contractual payment terms?

Payment speeds will be changed on the fourth business day of each month, when Uber Freight reviews carriers’ transaction history for the prior month to determine eligibility for the current month. Carriers that spent at least $3,500 per truck* will either remain on or be added to same day payouts. Those that did not meet the spend threshold will not be eligible for same-day payouts. Carriers will always receive an email notification if and when their payout speed is changed.

If I lose same-day payouts what will my payment speed be?

Your payment speed will revert back to your contractual payment terms.

Can I regain same-day payouts?

You can regain same-day payouts by meeting the $3,500 per truck* spend on your Uber Freight Carrier Card(s) in a calendar month. If you were previously removed from same-day payouts and now meet the card spend requirements, Uber Freight will change your payment speed on the fourth business day of the following month and all POD approved eligible Uber Freight loads that are booked on or after the fourth of each eligible month will receive same-day payouts.

*Uber Freight reviews FMCSA data to determine per truck spend.FMCSA data is reviewed on [the fourth business day of each month]. Any changes to FMCSA truck data after this date will be accounted for in the next month when eligibility is reviewed. Spend is calculated on card purchases less returns, and does include any fees or deposits.

Note: Eligibility for same-day payments is determined by Uber Freight. Uber Freight may amend the terms of the same-day payment program in its sole discretion. Notice of any changes to eligibility requirements will be posted on this page and/or provided to cardholders.

Uber Freight initiates payments on weekdays (Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays). Funds may take an additional 1- 3 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank.

In addition to any requirements in the carrier’s agreements with Uber Freight, same-day payment is subject first to Uber Freight’s approval of complete and legible proof of delivery documents. Shipments that are delivered or for which paperwork is received after standard business hours may encounter delayed payment approvals.

In the event a carrier does not wish to participate in the same-day payment program despite meeting eligibility requirements, notice may be sent to uberfreightcard@uber.com to be removed from the same-day payment program.

• Your business EIN: To confirm your business registration
• Your SSN and your ownership stake in the business: To confirm who you are and your relationship to the business
• Proof of revenue: By connecting to your bank account or by sharing your recent bank statement, your business will be assessed for the best possible fuel card product

Discount amounts are finalized at time of transaction posting. When a pending transaction posts to a cardholder’s Uber Freight Carrier Card account, it will indicate a Gross Price which reflects the retail (pump) price, and a Net Price which includes the applicable discount.

Discounts are calculated as an applicable cent per gallon price or discount, using the data that AtoB receives from the merchant. If the transaction data received by AtoB did not include fuel, no discount will be applied. If the merchant does not provide the number of gallons of fuel purchased, AtoB will make a best effort to estimate the gallons purchased based on latest fuel prices in order to provide a discount to the cardholder. If the cardholder disagrees with the gallons of fuel types reported by the merchant, they may provide a receipt to AtoB’s support team to have the discount adjusted.

Non-fuel discounts are offered by third party partners. Uber Freight or AtoB is not responsible for their products and services. Instructions for how to claim a discount will be available to you in the non-fuel discounts catalog once you’re approved for an Uber Freight Carrier Card(s).

‘Retail minus’ discounts provide the cardholder with a fixed discount on the retail price (e.g., ‘15¢/gal off the retail price’). The discount amount per gallon is guaranteed, and will equal the retail price at the pump less the specific cents-per-gallon offer. Please note that where the retail price in the app disagrees with the retail price at the pump, the pump price will be used for discounting purposes.

‘Cost plus’ discounts provide the cardholder with a fixed price at participating fueling locations (e.g., $4.00 per gallon on diesel at Casey’s Station #1292) and are based on a daily calculation of the merchant’s wholesale price of fuel. The price is guaranteed for the day (that is, the cost plus price may change daily), and may reflect a smaller or larger discount off of the retail price at the pump depending on the time of purchase (as the retail price may fluctuate throughout the day, whereas the cost plus price is refreshed once daily). If the cost-plus price is ultimately higher than the retail price paid by the cardholder at the time of purchase, the cost-plus price will be waived and the cardholder will only pay the retail price.

Cost-plus pricing reflects a merchant’s wholesale price of fuel and in some cases can provide substantially higher discounts over retail minus pricing. Prices are calculated daily based on an index-based price of fuel (from the Oil Price Information Service – OPIS) and the merchant’s freight rates, applicable tax rates, and a margin.

Savings calculations were made using data from all Uber Freight Carrier Card fuel transactions in the month of May 2024 that received a cost plus fuel discount.

AtoB administers the Uber Freight Carrier Card. Your use of the Uber Freight Carrier Card is subject to your platform agreement with AtoB and issuing bank agreement with Celtic Bank.
